Jake wrote in with some extra insights when he started meditating on the consequences of Adam being created on the third, rather than the sixth, day. This is a followup to this previous article: Adam Created on the Third Day, and What it Means.
Date: Day 9, Month 4, Year 2730 of Our Exile (Friday, July 11, 2008)
From: Jacob FronczakI didn't think of it until now, but the Third Day creation also invalidates the various theories (including the one on Hope of Israel) that include some idea that man used to be a Neanderthal and then had the breath of life breathed into him or that blacks were created first and are "beasts of the field." If man preceded all other forms of life, all theories of Theistic Evolution are also made defunct, just by that simple rearrangement of order. Interesting how fixing one seemingly inconsequential problem fixes a bunch of bigger problems as well.
Thanks to Jake's input, I have revised and update the original article, which you can still read here: Genesis One and Two Compared — Adam Created on the Third day, not the Sixth.
